Items from the Ashland City Bank & Trust Company. The bank was founded in 1900 and established in 1901. The first office was located on Main Street, next to what is now the Sudden Service gasoline station. It moved up the street in 1966 to the property on which Sam Adkisson Sr. home stood. In the 1980s the bank was sold to Dominion Bank, later becoming First Union Bank and presently is a U.S. Bank branch. Ashland City Bank also once had branches in Henrietta & Pleasant View, TN.
