Dr. Jerome.Baxter. Smith(1846-1925) was an Ashland City physician in the late 1800s & early 1900s, The Smith's lived in the southern part of the town. Smith Street is named for the family. Dr. Smith & his wife, Medora Bryan Smith (1847-1921) had five children: Baxter, Walter Palmer, Ethel & Mary Edith. They are all buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City.
