Description
The Ashland City Methodist Church is located on Oak Street in Ashland City, Tennessee. The Methodist faith in the area now known as Cheatham County first met at the Leeland meeting House in 1842. The first church building was erected on the present site in 1869. in 1889, Major E.C. Lewis of Sycamore Powder Mill donated his services to remodel the building with a spire which could be seen by anyone entering Ashland City. The current church building began in 1934 and was dedicated in 1935.
